Georgia Tech and Emory University have developed a new device called DETECT which is designed to be administered while a person is still healthy, tracking any abnormal decreases in the patients cognitive performance over time. DETECT can also be used to assess cognitive decline in other neurodegenerative disorders or mild traumatic brain injury.
