The Alumni Association is committed to customer service satisfaction and works hard to maintain a high level of online privacy. By visiting gtalumni.org, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We collect data to help expand our online services. The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve our online services.

Types of Information We Gather

  • Information Submitted by You: We receive and store any information you enter on our site or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our services and features.
  • Email Addresses: In an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our alumni, the Alumni Association sends most electronic information within BuzzWords – a monthly email magazine. • Information from Other Sources: In order to offer the most current online directory content, our online information is updated nightly from the Alumni Association master database and information obtained from the annual Harris Directory.
We also collect and analyze page visits, date of visit, length of visit and time of visit.

We take great care in maintaining the security of information you provide to us via the web. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We do not store any credit card numbers submitted to us. All credit card processing is handled by Paypal.

As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to take advantage of online features such as online event registration, the alumni directory and online gifts or pledges.
